Back in the fall of 2005 Jason attended his first semester for his Bachelor of Fine Art Degree, when he started her wasnt sure exactly that his life as an artist might change drastically. During his basic design class they began watercolor abstracts based on the style of Wassil Kandinsky. Jason soon fell in love with Kandinsky's work and began trying to paint like Kandinsky did. Shortly after begining his series titles "All of Me" Jason was asked to be their artist of the month at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle, Maine.

Jason soon began realized that doing the watercolor paintings were a way for him to manage pain as a form of meditation. Jason suffers from two spinal issues and until recently medications never helped him. His paintings allowed him to find another focal point in his life and relax taking pressure off the spine. The show was received and appreciated better than Jason had expected. Still being a "young artist" Jason was not sure how this new style for him was going to be received. Once the show was placed in the Pinking Wing of the hospital the feedback was very posiitive.

I hope you enjoy the photos posted below from the "All of Me" series.
